Gonggong 225088: EPK and tech rider

Dream a little noisy, sweetly disquieting dream Gonggong 225088. Masterminded by guitarist Han-earl Park, described by Brian Morton as “a musical philosopher… a delightful shape-shifter”, Gonggong 225088 is his Berlin-based trio project with the unpredictably artful percussionist, composer and improviser Yorgos Dimitriadis, and Camila Nebbia, a keenly inventive composer, improviser and saxophonist able to leap the melodic and noisy in a single-bound.

By turns light-as-a-feather, and heavy and prickly as a bucket of rusty nails, the trio’s music is of contradiction and ambiguity. Leaps into ’90s HatHut pastiche are followed by truckers-in-space-engine-rumbles; slow-crawls-from-the-swap of irony-free ‘bells’n’smells’ sound art followed by turns-turns-turns-on-a-dime mutant Free Funk.

Keywords: improvised music, jazz, free jazz, free improvisation, avant-rock, noise, avant-folk, avant-garde, experimental.
