Project Dada (Southampton) is the Southampton, England subsidiary of Project Dada. Project Dada investigates events that are strange, bizarre, peculiar, eccentric or plain odd, but do not fall under the sphere of the paranormal, or the jurisdiction of the paranormal investigators or cranks. In short Project Dada’s investigative canvass is the thus-far largely neglected phenomenon of someone doing something plausible at some unspectacular time and place for some indecipherable (but possibly meaningless and/or mundane) reason.
Undertaking this mission, Project Dada collates sightings of local disturbances, investigates phenomena, and publishes its findings with likely explanations, causes and cures. In this way Project Dada hopes that the general public may learn and benefit from this venture.
february 2004, Southampton, England—Project Dada (Southampton) is aware and monitoring the progress of the phenomenon (case number: soton 0.0.0) code named ‘aberrant pilgrimage’ and the group termed as the ‘aberrant pilgrims.’ Current sightings are thin on the ground, and data is deficient. We are unable at this time to corroborate eyewitness accounts. Status on case is yellow.
However, despite the paucity of data and fragmented information, Project Dada has managed to piece together the following facts about the aberrant pilgrimage. There are at least two pilgrims. The pilgrims’ mode of transport includes (but may not be limited to) walking. At this time Project Dada is unable to ascertain whether the pilgrims follow a set route, or where the termination points of this route are. Indeed, Project Dada is unable determine whether there are termination points to this pilgrimage. If not, and the pilgrims never stop, this would move the phenomenon into the realm of the paranormal investigators. Project Dada sees this as unlikely.
We will bring you more as Project Dada (Southampton) continues the investigation…
Have you seen or heard anything unfamiliar, absurd, uncommon, kooky or plain odd?
