recording: Eris 136199, New York
Eris 136199 (Nick Didkovsky: guitar; Han-earl Park: guitar; and Catherine Sikora: saxophones) are recording this evening at NYU. Expect special things from this special ensemble.
Depending on how things go with the recording session (and depending on the traffic in New York), Catherine and I may be at Gowanus Company later tonight at Douglass Street Music Collective. Regardless of our presence, the evening, with performers including Kyoko Kitamura, Dominic Lash, Ingrid Laubrock, Dan Peck, Louise Dam Eckardt Jensen, Patrick Breiner, Tom Blancarte, Sara Schoenbeck, Will McEvoy, Josh Sinton and Aryeh Kobrinsky, promises to be a fun one. Maybe see you there. [DSMC page…]

thanks: Perkis-Park-Eisenstadt (The Stone, NYC) and Evans-Jensen-Park (DSMC, Brooklyn)
Big thanks to all the performers over the weekend: Harris Eisenstadt, Michael Evans (drums), Louise Dam Eckardt Jensen, and, especially for the initial invite to perform at The Stone, to Tim Perkis, one of the very finest computer performers, and one of the few who understands the nuts’n’bolts of musicianship and performance.
Thanks also to Miguel Frasconi for curating the series at The Stone, and to Josh Sinton and Prom Night Records for putting together Save The Date #8 at the Douglass Street Music Collective; and to Kevin Reilly and Don Mount for the documentation. And, nothing to do with my own performances, but I want to mention Tom Djll who, with Andrew Drury (thanks for the transport back home, Andrew!) and Tim, presented borderline genius deconstructions—diabolical combinations of intelligent critique and humorous pastiche—that followed our set at The Stone.
And, as always, thanks to everyone who came to listen and witness real-time music in motion… including the one person in the audience who really did not dig what I was doing… at all %^}

Had a lot of fun being part of Gowanus Company IV at the Douglass Street Music Collective on Sunday (April 8, 2012). Here is, as best as I can recall, the performers who participated at this DB inspired event:
Michael Bates (double bass), Matt Bauder (saxophone and clarinet), Sarah Bernstein (violin), Ken Filiano (double bass), Brad Henkel (trumpet), Ingrid Laubrock (saxophones), Weston Minissali (synthesizer), Han-earl Park (guitar), ‘secret special guest’ (trumpet), Josh Sinton (saxophone and clarinet), Vinnie Sperrazza (drums), Jesse Stacken (piano) and Booker Stardrum (drums).
Thanks to all the performers for allowing me to share the stage with them (next time, Matt, Ken and Ingrid), and big thanks, in particular, to Josh for the invite and putting the whole thing together.
