Bruce Lee Gallanter of the Downtown Music Gallery has some nice things to say about the Park–Dunmall–Sanders–Smith CD [More info on this recording…]. Here’s, for example, is his take on the Park-Sanders duet:

Careful, crafty and well-played with that restrained yet fractured guitar that sounds so good. Han-Earl sound seems to be in between Derek Bailey & Philip Gibbs.

Stet Lab rescheduled: December 9th 2008

Stop press: this month’s Stet Lab has been rescheduled to Tuesday, December 9th 2008. [More…]

This comes after the rescheduling of the FrImp event in Birmingham, and cancellation of the Frakture hosted performance in Liverpool (three in a row has to be some kind of record). The performance diary has been updated to reflect these changes.

There’re some significant changes to the performance diary:

  • London, December 2nd: A performance at The Klinker. (This was somewhat last minute, thus you won’t find my name in the Klinker publicity.)
  • Birmingham, December 3rd: The FrImp event will take place at the later time of 10:00pm in the Elgar Room and admission is free.

I don’t have any details for the December 4th event in Liverpool. I recommend that you contact Frakture for details.
